West Bengal Primary Teacher Salary/Pay Scale of Primary Teacher in West Bengal

The School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, has finally recognized the need for the elevation of Band Pay or Pay Scale of Primary Teacher in West Bengal against their 14 days long hunger strike and protests.

Vide Notification No. 510-SE/P/10M-06/09(PT-I). TET. Dated, the 26th July 2019, the Grade Pay of Trained and Untrained Primary Teachers have been enhanced from Rs.2600 and Rs.2300 to Rs.3600 and Rs.2900 respectively.

The said notification says that “the Grade Pay of Trained Primary Teacher Salary is enhanced from Rs. 2600/- in Pay Band-2 to Rs. 3600/- in Pay Band-3 and the Grade Pay of Untrained Primary Teacher Salary is enhanced from Rs. 2300/- to Rs. 2900/- in Pay Band-2 with effect from 1st August 2019″.
